My background is varied, and I’ve worn many different hats – morgue assistant, rugby player, ice cream scooper and public relations executive, to name a few – but currently I’m the owner of a lifestyle store in Jersey City, NJ that I founded in 2006. In a typical day I cut customers out of too-tight dresses, move and/or refinish furniture and merchandise displays in the shop. It keeps me busy … but I’m never too far away from my first love: writing. After attending a fine and performing arts high school for writing and publishing, I went on to get my B.A. from Rutgers University in Journalism and Art History. After completing a magazine internship I switched sides and started working in public relations. I’m now lucky enough to divide my time between operating the shop and writing.
