Bio
I'm a retired Special Education Specialist who always wanted to become a writer. Retirement provided the time and opportunity to follow my dream. The only impediment to achieving my goal is mild to moderate dyslexia. Thanks to a panel of computer-based aides, writing became a possibility. My first effort is a self-published work of non-fiction, but writing fiction was what I wanted to do.Self-publishing got me started writing, and some online Fiction writing courses gave me a few tools. Hard work and persistence got me there. The authors that drew me into writing crime/thriller fiction are listed below. They all start with a shocking first chapter, and I have followed in those footsteps. My first efforts at writing in this style are embodied in my first novel, Girl with a Rose Tattoo.
Favorite Books
I am a fan of Jo Nesbo, Henning Mankell, and Stieg Larson. I have read nearly everything these authors have written. I would like to read Jo Nesbo's children's books. I'm curious what a book for young readers written by a Scandinavian crime writer does in that genre.
