I have a B.A. in Theatre/English and two Master's Degrees - Communication Arts and Special Education. I've won awards for my diverse and LGBT-friendly Lance Chronicles YA series; for my teens-with-disabilities horror thriller, Spinner; and for my New Adult romantic thriller, A Matter of Time. In other experience, I've made low-budget horror films, written stage plays, taught high school for twenty-five years, and continue my work as a lifelong volunteer with youth at the YMCA, through the Big Brothers Big Sisters program, and with incarcerated kids housed in Los Angeles County detention centers.
I love interacting with people, especially youth, and with everyone who loves reading and books and movies. My favorites are fantasy, paranormal, superhero stories. I would love to meet new people
I have too many to list here, but a few favorites in the horror genre are The Other, by Thomas Tryon; Salem's Lot, by Stephen King; and Boy's Life, by Robert McCammon. I read a lot of YA and fantasy-themed books, too.
Love all, trust a few, do wrong to none." - William Shakespeare
