I am a writer and a big fan of high school wrestling. Harper Collins published my third novel, ONE SHOT AWAY, A WRESTLING STORY, which was loosely based on the lives of three wrestlers in my hometown. I have recently completed another YA fiction wrestling novel, I Lost to a Girl, a sport-themed teen love story of Mike and Shelby, two high school wrestlers who overcome challenges and adversity. I have an MFA from Columbia University. My first novel, The Hero of New York, W.W. Norton, was completed when I was 23 years old. It explored the dark side of the middle class suburban dream. My second novel, Steady Eddie, SOHO Press, is a coming of age story set in Long Island, New York.
