Dear Swoon Readers,
Welcome to the dogs days of summer. Could there be any better time for reading?
You continue to amaze and impress us with the stories you've shared with us—and the range of topics and currents they cover. We can't wait for you to read the newest manuscripts we've chosen for publication. Keep on writing and keep on reading. We're just getting started.
Congratulations to our four new authors and welcome to the Swoon Reads family.
Here they are! Swoon Reads Season 8:
Afraid of explaining her asexuality, Alice had given up on finding love. Problem is, love found her…
Why We Love It- Voice galore! Alice's voice really jumps off the page, and she has a unique perspective that's all her own.
- There aren't many YA novels out there that address asexuality, and we love how this author handles the subject with sensitivity and depth.
A young YA author and the lead actor of her novel’s upcoming film adaption share an amazing summer weekend, but can their relationship last?
Why We Love It
- The characters are relatable and realistically flawed (despite being kinda famous).
- It made us really, really happy. :-)
When Kate, a competitive swimmer, is forced to move, she falls for the cute boy across the hall. The only problem? He has a girlfriend.
Why We Love It- We immediately fell for Michael, the cute boy across the hall who wants to learn salsa dancing. Need we say more?
- The love story in this one made us swoon and gave us major Sarah Dessen vibes!
Hailey’s spent her whole life wanting a real family. Now that she has one, she’s falling for her foster brother.
Why We Love It
- Opposites attract in this book, and we love seeing how two very different characters relate to each other.
Congratulations Claire, Alex, Vicky and SM! And welcome to Swoon Reads!
