Announcing Our Third Selection for Season 5: TRAVELER by L.E. DeLano!
Dear Swoon Readers,
Our 5th Swoon Reads list just keeps growing. I’m very excited to announce that our third title on this list is Traveler by L.E. DeLano. This fun fantasy romance about a teen writer whose favorite character suddenly shows up in her real life, allowing her to travel through mirrors into amazing parallel universes had us all dreaming of our own favorite characters, as well as adding a new love, Pirate Finn, to our lives. We want to welcome L.E. and all versions of her fabulous characters to the Swoon Reads family, and we can’t wait for you to meet them yourselves.

Meet the Author: L.E. DeLano
Where did the idea for Traveler come from?
When I was eight, we lived in England, and I happened to see a BBC production of Alice Through the Looking Glass, which of course, is the sequel to Alice in Wonderland. In the book, Alice travels through a mirror into a world where everything is reversed and has an adventure. Later that evening, I was walking down the hallway to my bedroom, and in the hallway we had a large, ornate mirror. I caught a glimpse of my reflection and stood there looking at myself for the longest time, wondering if there really was a world on the other side of that glass, and I swear to you – I saw the other "me" blink. I don't think I slept that night, and I still get a weird sensation when I catch a glimpse of myself in a mirror. I finally decided to see where that idea would take me, and that's how Traveler was born.
Which world in your book would you like to live in?
Oh, that's a tough pick! But as much as I'd love to taste some glitter mousse, I'd have to say I'd love to visit the steampunk world and sail away on a solar-sailed pirate ship!
Tell us one fun fact about yourself.
I have a vault of completely useless trivia in my brain. Seriously. You cannot imagine the obscure stuff I can pull out in a conversation.
Who would play your characters in a movie?
If I were to cast my book, I'd probably cast Chloe Grace Moretz as Jessa. Finn is sort of a tortured soul, I see him as a teen Evan Peters. Ben is somewhere between Jake T. Austin and BooBoo Stewart.
What makes you swoon?
Characters who don't let their circumstances define them, and couples who completely have each other's backs. I like love interests and friends who are brave for each other.
So there you have it! Read Traveler before editing begins! And stay tuned for more Swoonworthy News!
