Rich’s Trapped Girl Cover Direction for VELVET
Our cover designers have created some amazing cover directions for Velvet by Temple West, and we’re counting on you to choose which one actually goes on the book! We know it’s a big decision so today we’ve asked our Cover Director Rich D. to share the story behind this gorgeous cover approach:
Again, I’m very drawn to the idea of Caitlin being alone in the woods as a representation of what she’s going through emotionally, and I felt that this image really represents the sadness and depth of her feelings and grief. And, with this approach, I was able to add more of the woods and really use them to represent the danger and darkness that is coming for her. Finally, this approach also more strongly emphasizes the paranormal and supernatural elements of the book.
