What's up, Swooners?
We are so pumped for you to finally see the three amazing cover options for Love Me, Love Me Not! A foster kid tries to shake her past while dealing with her blossoming feelings for her foster brother in S.M. Koz's steamy-as-heck contemporary. In case you need a reminder, here's the synopsis:
"Seventeen-year-old Hailey Brown has spent her whole life bouncing from foster home to foster home. All she wants is a safe, comfortable environment where she can finish school and move on with her life. When Hailey gets placed with the Campbells, she thinks she’s died and gone to heaven. Suddenly she has clothes, money, warm meals, and a nice house. Mr. and Mrs. Campbell’s son Brad, a football player, couldn’t be friendlier.
Soon, Hailey realizes her relationship with Brad has crossed the line from friendship to something more. But being with Brad would mean giving up the family she’s finally found. And there are people in Hailey’s past who don’t want to let her go—dangerous people who threaten the life she’s made herself at last.
Can Hailey and Brad resist the passion that brings them together—or will they risk it all to be together?"
Swoon designer Danielle M. has put together three fabulous cover directions for you to choose from, and has shared some thoughts about her inspiration behind each one. Remember, the below images aren't necessarily final. These are just directions, so there will most likely be some tweaks made before the book hits the shelves. I wanted to portray the protagonists' vulnerability and the tenderness between her and her foster brother. Below are the beautiful blue mountains of rural North Carolina, where the story takes place.
I kept imagining Hailey's story unfolding as instagram photos, documenting her new life and new love.
Double Exposure Cover
Epic love story poster. I was also harnessing the instagram feel and double exposure effect. The different font styles used in the title can be indicative of Hailey's contrasting life experiences.
