Cover voting is now closed. Thanks for all your help!
We are so super-special stoked to share the proposed cover directions for Surviving Adam Meade by Shannon Klare! Here's a summary in case you're in need of a refresher of this steamy, Friday Night Lights-like contemporary:
"School is stressful, senior year is worse, and Adam Meade is a problem of a different caliber.
Seventeen-year-old Claire Collins has a plan: get into college and leave North Carolina behind. What she doesn’t have is an idea for how to get rid of the local football star and womanizer extraordinaire—Adam Meade, who she can’t even avoid, because Claire’s dad is the high school football coach.
Seventeen-year-old Adam never fails. He always gets what he wanted and has never heard the word no… until Claire, the new girl who leaves him unnerved, pissed off, and confused. But there’s something about her that he just can’t resist…
With tensions high and a football career hanging in the balance, choices are made, secrets revealed, and hearts broken, in this sexy and compelling young adult novel."
We commissioned ace designer Lesley W. to craft these four options for you to choose from, and she has shared some thoughts about her inspiration behind each one. Remember, the below images aren't necessarily final. These are just directions, so there will most likely be some tweaks made before the book hits the shelves. For this direction, we went for depicting the group of friends hanging out together. The big hand-lettered type is a great companion to this fun-loving cover.
Although this is recycled from the cover voting for Love Me, Love Me Not, we think this is also a great fit for Surviving Adam Meade. It highlights Claire, Adam and friends having fun, hanging out with each other and also includes the football theme.
You didn't know a pick-up truck was synonymous with romance?! I love candid shots, and I think this is a great snap shot of Claire and Adam.
This is a graphic approach to this sexy and fun romance, featuring story elements as simple icons, including bonfires, North Carolina, and ATVs.
