NaNoWriMo Watch 2015: It's Been a Week Already

Hey Swooner-Wrimos! (Swoonermos?)

So, real talk. How’s it going?

As of last night, NaNoWriMo 2015 is already five days in. That means for those of you trying to keep to the 1,667 words a day goal, you should be somewhere around 8,335 words in.

Some of you might be meeting the goal or even exceeding it. That’s awesome! Keep up the great work! Others might be struggling a bit. Hey, I get it. 1,667 words may not sound like a lot, but it ain’t easy. Especially if you’re having trouble with writer’s block (speak not its name!!! *hiss*) or are still trying to figure out where your story’s even going. The important thing to remember is that that’s completely OK!

rules guidelines

Don’t stress out about falling behind. Whatever else happens, you’re WRITING. Whether you end the month at 50,000 words or 5,000, that’s still more words than you started with, right?

But hey, you’ve still got a little over three more weeks! Plenty of time. If you’re on target, push on, you brilliantly insane and wonderful people. If you’re a little behind, don’t fret. Catch up if you can, but don’t force it and don’t make yourself sick over it. You’re brilliantly insane and wonderful, too.

So those of you who are participating in NaNo this year, how's it going?

Every weekday in November, we’ll be including a super special writing prompt at the end of all our blog posts! Check out today’s:
