Do you use your degree in your current job?
It gives me a very visual approach to editing, which can be useful.
What’s the weirdest job you’ve ever had?
I got a job wearing a carrot costume and shouting ‘Don’t Panic, I’m Organic’ on the streets of London, but I’m afraid I didn’t turn up for my first day.
How did you get into publishing?
I was freelancing as a designer at a publisher that was swamped and I made myself useful in the editorial department. Then a job came up and I was in the right place at the right time – I was extremely lucky!
