Swoonworthy Recipes – Nutella Hot Chocolate
Baby, it’s cold outside.
Snow is falling, temperatures are dropping, and there’s a definite chill in the air. It’s certainly wintertime in the city. While I don’t love winter weather, I will take any excuse to curl up on my sofa with a cozy blanket, a good book (or Swoon Reads manuscript!) and a mug of hot chocolate.
Now, I’m something of a hot chocolate connoisseur and a Swiss Miss coco packet just won’t cut it for me. But you don’t need a lot of time or effort to make a deliciously rich cup of hot chocolate. All you need is 3 spare minutes and 3 simple ingredients.
Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to this Nutella hot chocolate today! Trust me, this recipe is 100% swoonworthy.
Nutella Hot Chocolate
Recipe from Clara Persis
- 2 cups milk (for a non-dairy alternative, try almond, soy, or coconut milk!)
- ¼ cup Nutella
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
In a small saucepan, heat the milk and Nutella over medium low heat. Using a wire whisk, stir until the milk and Nutella are completely combined.
Add in vanilla and continue to whisk the hot chocolate until it is piping hot (usually 2-3 minutes).
Remove from heat, pour into mugs and serve with marshmallows or whipped cream.
