Hanging By A Moment Regina Brownell

Description

Seventeen year old Marnie Holland is the popular girl with money, a lot of friends, and dating the star athlete. On the inside she struggles with her mom leaving, and her father not being around much due to his job.

Flint Rogers is the opposite, he's not popular in school, but outside of school his band is a big deal. He struggles to help his mom make ends meet to make up for his deadbeat dad.

Their worlds collide when they are asked to step into each other’s shoes for a school project. As they start to form a bond Marnie’s life begins to fall apart, and Flint is there to put the pieces back together. They could be happy, but Marnie struggles with the idea of falling for someone who isn’t popular. Will Marnie choose love over popularity? Or will her popular girl attitude keep her from a chance at love?

Good flow and appealing characters...BUT it desperately needs a professional edit. Here are the biggest issues.
1-sentences running together.
2-wrong word usage.
3-tense changes in the same paragraph.
4-horrible overuse of the word smirk (I wish the word could be banned from fiction completely)

Vaguely like Kasie west's stuff.

thank you for pointing these things out, i appreciate your advice and I am going to attempt to get a friend to read it for me to help me out. Grammar was always an issue for me it just never clicked for some reason. Thank you again for reading.

I'm sorry, but I agree with Mr. Clark. In a medium such as this, a few editorial errors can be ignored; too many, though, and they become a real hindrance to enjoyment, sometimes even to comprehension. I would recommend a comprehensive edit/proofread.

I just finished this story and I really like it! I'm new to Swoon Reads and yours is the second book I've read so far. The storyline is really good, especially near the end. I absolutely love almost all romance books, and I really enjoyed reading yours. However, as mentioned before, there are many grammar problems, like run-on sentences and spelling mistakes. You might want to consider having a friend edit it too! But overall, this book was really interesting and I couldn't stop reading!

This has real potential. However, it needs serious editing before it will gain enough support. Wrong words (phaze instead of faze, suite instead of suit, for examples), one sentence where two exist and awkward sentence structure ate the biggest things that caught my attention so far. I'm going to keep reading, however.

Wow thank you for reading, I was hoping the story would grab attention. I have a lot of issues with grammar, it's my downfall. I appreciate the comment and hopefully i can find some resources to help guide me with grammar.
