Lake's Edge

If there's one thing August is sure of, it's that he is not the favorite. The fact becomes glaringly clear when his sister turns up dead, and his father begins tearing down the universe in order to have his son convicted. Lost and without a home, August turns to the one person he can trust - Eden, the new girl who is smart and beautiful and all the things August had stopped believing in. However, trouble is following them with every turn - his father has the police department in his pocket, and August finds himself even more foreign among his classmates. Armed with nothing but broken hope and minimal evidence, August sets out to clear his name - and to receive justice for his sister.
