TAINTED Amanda Cowen

Description

Rhys is as arrogant as he is beautiful, and Ivy has been infatuated with him forever. When she finally makes her move, it doesn’t end well and he leaves her utterly heartbroken. Three years later, Ivy has finished her first year of college and is dating Blaine; Rhys’s younger brother. With Rhys and their past somewhat out of her mind, everything about her relationship with Blaine seems perfect. When an academic obligation forces Blaine to leave Ivy alone all summer; neither of them anticipated Rhys to return, or him and Ivy to be stuck living under the same roof. Rhys never believed the once studious and innocent Ivy would be all grown up and everything he’s ever wanted - including an infuriatingly tempting beauty he has to keep his hands off of. Until one night changes everything, and Wyatt brothers will never be the same.

The story was very well written. I really enjoyed all of the different takes and turns it brought you on. The only thing was that the end seemed to happen really quickly like you were trying to finish it in a rush. Your description words were great in the beginning but got thinned out as the book went on.

I was hooked from the beginning! I think my only suggestion would be that the title makes no real sense to the book at all. I thought you did a really good job with telling both Rhys and Ivy's side of the story, I think there could have been more drama, maybe something with the personal trainer, and maybe even like a flashback to when Eddie told Rhys to leave Ivy alone to bring it all together when the truth comes out at the party. Overall great job, I was hooked.

I absolutely loved this! I had to read it all! It was super hot and the intense attraction and love between the characters was electric! There were a few grammar mistakes. But overall it was beautifully written. You need to write some more amazing novels.

The story is flowing smoothly for the most part which makes it an interesting read.

I loved this manuscript! it was exactly what I was looking for in a book, and it definitely will leave an impact as the lst book I read on swoonreads! the author did an amazing job with the structure and punctuation, and I fully was able to understand the plot. I did not expect the opening scene though. it confused me because it made me think the opening scene would be like the book. it wasn't though. it was misinterpreting, and if I wasn't ok with that maturity, I think It would have made me stop reading the book. but it was an AMAZING book overall. I really hope it gets published. I would recommend this book to all of my friends. thank you to the other for sharing this awesome book with the community! it is DEFINITLY swoon worthy!

I was really getting anxiety towards the end, wondering if after they separated if they would be able to come back together at the end. But alas, you pulled off the perfect ending to a perfect whirlwind romance. The love triangle aspect really had me torn at times but now that I've finished the book I applaud you for how you managed to seamlessly pull Ivy and Blaine apart while also bringing together Rhys and Ivy once and for all.

All in all, an amazing read and one that I would highly recommend. To my knowledge, there were no mistakes (though I was far too caught up in the story to notice). Fantastic job - and hats off to the amazing author!

Books to compare this to? None that I can think of!

Absolutely enthralled so far!! I loved the contrast between not only their lives in high school, but between their lives now in college. Definitely looking forward to seeing what's next once Ivy returns home!
