The Chosen One Wes Loder

Description

Aliens, including dragons and “gargoyles,” reside alongside humans in a world that is similar to a contemporary United States. Nate Jensen, a high school junior, picks up a hitchhiker he barely knows. She is Chosen, a teenage girl selected by her cult for some future ritual. She asks Nate to spend time with her. The smitten Nate is happy to comply, but instead of scoring, he finds himself being drawn into a dangerous world where religion, sacrifice and obligations may all add up to a fatal result.

This story had a lot of imagination and a very strong plot. I really liked the idea of her being chosen but won't give away any spoilers ;)
I feel a short prologue to explain the world of gargoyles living amongst humans etc may be useful to help the reader's journey a little smoother.
Some of the dialogue/ terms seemed unnatural occasionally, but I got used to it after a while.
Also, a little bit more romance, bonding between the two main character's at the beginning would make his feelings for her (putting himself in danger for her ) alot stronger.
These are only minor things and of course one opinion.
I think this book is totally worth a read. A talented writer with bags of imagination. :)

This was different to anything I've read. A great fantasy piece. X
