I liked how realistic the characters were, reminded me of my days in high school. I love Marty's wit, her diary had me laughing out loud! And while she is a drama llama, I found it an accurate portrayal of a sixteen year old. I really enjoyed it and can't wait to read the next one!

Similar Stories : It definitely reminded me of Angus, Thongs and Full Frontal Snogging, which is a huge compliment as I thoroughly enjoy that series.

The characters were one-dimensional and the story line was flat. Marty really discovered nothing about herself and didn't grow at all - none of the characters did. The ending was pretty abrupt and made no real sense. There was also a LOT of redundancy. How many times was the word Anywho used (just one example)? The story had potential but just disappointed.

Thank you for your feedback :)

I'm sorry you had such a rotten experience reading my manuscript. The only thing I can offer is the explanation as to why it ends so abruptly. It is the first in the series, and so it's leading up to the next book. I imagine that would be of little consequence to you though. Since you did not enjoy the first one, I can't imagine you wanting to read the next, haha.

Cheers

To be honest I'm not overly impressed thus far. 1. If you're going to swear then just do it don't use the ***'s - it just makes it look like a kid who's afraid their parents will find out. 2. The characters seem really immature and naive - overly so. They seem to have the maturity level of my 10-year-old niece. So far this really isn't young adult lit.
