Wednesday Riya Mangal

Description

For recent graduate Celine, sun-drenched Kersea College is a way station between a London exile and a sheltered valley hometown. Now that her father’s dead, she plans to head back home as soon as she makes the money for her plane ticket – and as soon as she shores up the courage to face a sister she hasn’t spoken to for three years. She’ll drop her fancy clothes, her fancy new name, and slip right back into the invisible, small-town brown girl she was – the one with the real family instead of the silent bookshelf loaded with classics set far, far away. Getting caught up in the self-made disasters of diversity-activist Paras is not part of the plan, but when sparks fly, Celine must make her way past her father’s expectations and Paras’s hopes to give her own dreams a chance.

I like the idea as a whole but I felt in some places it was slightly rude. To relate to bigger audiences you can't alienate them with offensive comments like "jeans shorts that were too tight" (not exact wording but same meaning).

It's a good story.. but I get lost in some points... And I had to reread it.. to understand..
The parts in which she's remembering should be in other fond type..

Hi Aladea! Twenty people have added it so far and one has read it- I'm not sure if this is typical or not. I am looking forward to reading yours!
